Description: Last year, Regency Acres Public School applied for and received a Farm to School Grant to begin a salad bar program. Twenty Schools across Ontario were selected as recipients in the Free Salad Day - Healthy Schools Farm to School Program. Their goal is to get healthy local food into the minds and onto the plates of students. Their mission is to inspire kids to eat local and fresh food from our local gardens and farms. Nutritionally, this is the right path to be on! On October 25th Regency Acres offered a free salad lunch for every student, staff member and community partner to celebrate this wonderful program. Way to go!
